MEET OUR STAFF

Pastor Adam Tripp and his wife, Tina, have a personal mission to share God’s plan for an abundant life through Christ.  Pastor Adam has a unique way of sharing Biblical truths in ways that are relevant to every day living.  Pastor Adam is a graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and he currently is halfway toward completing his Master of Divinity degree through the Regent University School of Divinity.

The Tripp family came to Pitts Church of God in October 2009 after serving as the Pastor of the McRae Church of God in McRae, Georgia for 3 years.  Prior to entering Senior Pastoral work, the Tripps served on pastoral staff at churches in Tennessee, Mississippi and Georgia for almost 10 years.  He and his beautiful wife have been married for 14 years and have two energetic and adventurous boys, David and Jon Erik. 

The Tripps are excited to be serving with the best people in the world at Pitts Church of God and look forward with anticipation at the great things that God is going to bring about!

Youth Pastor Derek Welborn comes to us from Cleveland, TN where he graduated from Lee University in 2009.  He has served in ministry internships at both Jentzen Franklin's Free Chapel in Gainesville, GA and Rich Wilkerson's Trinity Church in Miami, FL.  He oversees all of the programs on Wednesday nights including the Student Ministry, the AWANA children’s program and the bus ministry. He has a heart for community involvement, small groups, and leadership development. Pastor Derek's passion:

To SHARE the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the far corners of the earth.

To LIVE my life for Him and Him alone.
